Materials

Instructions

Central Medallion (Starting with Cream – Color A)

• Rnd 1 (Color A – Flower Center): Ch 4, sl st to first ch to form a ring. Ch 1, 10 sc in ring. Join with sl st to first sc. (10 sc)
• Rnd 2 (Color A – Petals): Ch 1, *sc in first st, ch 3, (dc, ch 2, dc) in next st, ch 3, sc in next st; rep from * 4 more times. Join with sl st to first sc. (5 petals formed)
• Rnd 3 (Color B – Lavender Outline): Join Color B in any ch-2 space of a petal. Ch 1, *2 sc in ch-2 sp, ch 1, 2 sc between the 2 dc posts of the same petal, ch 1, 2 sc in next ch-2 sp, ch 1, sc in the sc between petals; rep from * around. Join with sl st to first sc. (Approx. 35-40 sts)
• Rnd 4 (Color C – Green Ring): Join Color C in any st. Ch 1, sc in each st around, making sure the medallion lies flat. Join with sl st to first sc. (Adjust count from Rnd 3 to maintain flatness, aiming for 40-45 sc)

Leaves and Berry Clusters (Make several, varying colors)

These motifs are created individually and then joined, or worked directly onto the medallion/chain.

• Small Leaf (Color C): Ch 6. Sl st in 2nd ch from hook, sc in next ch, hdc in next ch, dc in next ch, hdc in last ch. Fasten off, leaving a tail for joining. (Make approx. 10-12 in Color C, 3-4 in Color B, 2-3 in Color A).
• Berry Cluster (Color C or B): Ch 3. 3 dc in 3rd ch from hook, sl st into the base of the cluster. Fasten off, leaving a tail. (Make approx. 5-7 in Color C, 2-3 in Color B).

Assembling the Side & Dangle Motifs:

Begin attaching the leaves and berry clusters around the bottom and sides of the central medallion, creating a natural, vine-like cascade as seen in the image. Alternate colors and sizes, layering them for fullness.

• For the bottom dangle: String together 3-4 leaves (e.g., C, B, C, A) and 1-2 berry clusters, joining them with a short chain (ch 3-5) between each element. Attach the top of this dangle to the bottom center of the medallion.
• For the side vines: Attach leaves and berry clusters in a curving line from the upper sides of the medallion, extending outwards. Use Color C predominantly for the connecting chains/vines, and attach the individual leaves and clusters as you go.

Necklace Straps (Make 2)

Using Color C (Light Green).

• Work a single strand of ch stitches, approx. 15-20 inches long (or desired length for a tie-back necklace). For a sturdier strap, work a few rows of sc along this chain.
• Attach one end of each strap to the outermost ends of the crocheted vine extensions on either side of the medallion.
• At the ends of the straps, you can either:
• Create a loop and attach a jewelry clasp.
• Make two longer chains (e.g., 10-12 inches each) to tie behind the neck, eliminating the need for a clasp.

Finishing

• Weave in all loose ends securely.
• Gently block the necklace to shape and define the stitches, if desired.
