Materials

• Fingering weight cotton yarn in Rose Red (or similar vibrant pink/red)
• Fingering weight cotton yarn in Lemon Yellow
• Fingering weight cotton yarn in Forest Green
• 2.0mm crochet hook
• Yarn needle
• Small wooden bead (approx. 6-8mm diameter)
• Scissors

• MR: Magic Ring

Instructions

Flower (Make 3)

• Using Rose Red yarn, make a MR.
• Round 1: Ch 1 (does not count as a stitch), 10 sc into MR. Pull ring tight and sl st to join to first sc. (10 sc)
• Petals: *Ch 2, make 2 dc in the next sc, ch 2, sl st in the same sc. Sl st into the next sc.* Repeat from * to * 5 times. You will have 5 petals.
• Fasten off Rose Red yarn, leaving a long tail for sewing.
• Flower Center: Using Lemon Yellow yarn, insert hook into the very center of the flower (the MR). Ch 1, make 2 sc stitches into the center. Sl st to secure. Fasten off yellow yarn, weave in ends.

Leaf (Make 6)

• Using Forest Green yarn, ch 5.
• Sl st in the 2nd ch from the hook.
• Sc in the next ch.
• Hdc in the next ch.
• Dc in the last ch.
• Ch 2, then working down the other side of the chain: dc in the base of the last dc, hdc in the next st, sc in the next st, sl st in the last st.
• Sl st to join. Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing.

Braided Cord

• Cut two strands of Rose Red yarn, each approximately 30 inches (76 cm) long.
• Cut one strand of Forest Green yarn, approximately 30 inches (76 cm) long.
• Tie the three strands together at one end with a knot, leaving a short tail.
• Braid the three strands together until you reach a desired length for your bracelet (approximately 6-7 inches or 15-18 cm for an average wrist, excluding the end tails for adjustment).
• Tie a knot at the other end of the braid to secure.

Assembly

• Using a yarn needle and the long tails, carefully sew the leaves onto the back of each flower, positioning two leaves symmetrically at the base of each flower.
• Determine the spacing for your flowers along the braided cord. The image shows the flowers quite close together.
• Using the remaining tails from the flowers, securely sew each flower onto the braided cord. Ensure they are firmly attached.
• Once all flowers are attached and all ends are woven in, thread both ends of the braided cord through the small wooden bead.
• Tie a secure knot at the very end of each cord tail to prevent the bead from slipping off and to create an adjustable closure.
• Trim any excess yarn, leaving enough for adjustment.
