Instructions

Part 1: 8-Petal Flower (Make 4-5 Light Pink, 4-5 Ecru/Light Cream, alternating colors)

• Using Light Pink or Ecru/Light Cream thread.
• R1: Ch 4, join with sl st to form a ring. Ch 1, 8 sc into ring. Join with sl st to first sc. (8 sc)
• R2: *Ch 2, (dc, trc, dc) into next sc, ch 2, sl st into same sc*. Repeat * to * 8 times. Fasten off, leaving a 6-inch tail for sewing. (8 petals)

Part 2: Blue Lace Base Band (Main Choker Structure)

• Using Light Blue thread.
• Foundation Chain: Ch 75 (This creates a choker approximately 30-35cm in length, adjust chain length for desired neck size. Ensure chain is an even multiple of 10 plus 5 for pattern repeats).
• R1 (Lower Scalloped Edge): Sc in 2nd ch from hook. *Sk 2 ch, (2 dc, ch 1, 2 dc) in next ch (shell), sk 2 ch, sc in next ch*. Repeat * across the chain. You should end with a sc. Turn.
• R2 (Flower Placement Row): Ch 3 (counts as dc). Dc in next sc. *Ch 3, sk (2dc, ch1, 2dc) shell, dc in next sc, ch 5, dc in next sc*. Repeat * across. End with ch 3, sk shell, dc in last sc, dc in turning ch. Turn. (This creates spaces for the flowers within the ch 5 loops).
• R3 (Upper Scalloped Edge): Ch 1, sc in first dc. *Sk ch 3, (2 dc, ch 1, 2 dc) in next dc (this forms a shell over the dc from R2), sk ch 5 loop, sc in next dc*. Repeat * across. End with sc in turning ch 3. Fasten off.

Part 3: Central Drop Embellishment

• Using Light Blue thread.
• R1: Ch 6, join with sl st to form a ring. Ch 1, 8 sc in ring. Join with sl st.
• R2: *Ch 3, sl st into next sc*. Repeat * to * 8 times. Fasten off. This creates small loops around the center.

Part 4: Assembly

• Carefully position each 8-petal flower into the ch 5 loops created in R2 of the Blue Lace Base Band. Using the long tails left on the flowers and a sewing needle, securely sew each flower into place, stitching around the central ring of the flower to the ch 5 loop of the blue band.
• Attach the Central Drop Embellishment to the very center of the Blue Lace Base Band (typically where two flowers meet, or under a central flower opening), sewing it securely.
• Sew a 6mm pearl bead into the center of each 8-petal flower.
• Sew two 4mm pearl beads to the bottom points of the Central Drop Embellishment as pictured.
