Materials

Instructions

This pattern creates individual motifs that are then joined together to form the necklace. The approximate finished length can be adjusted by adding or removing motifs.

• Row 1: Ch 20.
• Row 2: Sc in 2nd ch from hook, (hdc in next ch, dc in next 2 ch, hdc in next ch, sc in next ch) repeat 3 times across, sl st into last ch. Ch 1, turn.
• Assembly: Starting from one end, carefully roll the strip tightly into a rose shape. Use a tapestry needle and matching thread to stitch through the layers at the base of the rose to secure its shape. Weave in ends.
• For blue bead roses (5 pieces): After rolling the rose, thread a small blue bead onto a piece of jewelry wire. Insert the wire through the center of the rose, twist to secure bead tightly in the center, and hide ends at the back.

• Row 1: Ch 6.
• Row 2: Sc in 2nd ch from hook, hdc in next ch, dc in next ch, hdc in next ch, sc in last ch. Ch 1, turn.
• Edging: Sl st in first sc, *ch 3, sl st in same st (picot made)*. Continue working sl sts around the edge of the leaf, placing a picot every 2-3 sts for a delicate scalloped edge. Sl st to join. Fo, weave in ends.
