Instructions

I. Basic Lace Motif (Cream – Make 4)

• Round 1: Ch 5, sl st to first ch to form a ring. Ch 1, work 10 sc into the ring, sl st to join to first sc. (10 sc)

• Round 2: Ch 3 (counts as 1st dc), dc in same st. *Ch 3, sk 1 sc, 2 dc in next sc* Repeat from * 3 times more. Ch 3, sk 1 sc, sl st to top of initial Ch 3 to join. (5 groups of 2 dc separated by ch-3)

• Round 3 (Petals with Picots): Sl st into first dc, sl st into ch-3 space. *Ch 3, 2 dc in ch-3 space, picot (Ch 3, sl st in 3rd ch from hook), 2 dc in same ch-3 space, Ch 3, sl st in same ch-3 space. Sl st over next 2 dc to next ch-3 space.* Repeat from * 4 times more. Fasten off.

II. Accent Beaded Motif (Make 2 Blue, 2 Pink)

• Round 1 (Accent Color – Blue or Pink): Ch 4, sl st to first ch to form a ring. Ch 1, work 8 sc into the ring, sl st to join to first sc. (8 sc)

• Round 2 (Accent Color with Beads): String 1 blue/pink seed bead onto your working yarn before starting the round. *Ch 2, slide bead close to hook, sc in next sc, ch 2* Repeat from * 7 times. Sl st to first ch-2 space to join. (8 ch-2 spaces with beads)

• Round 2 (Cream): Ch 3 (counts as 1st dc), dc in same st. *Ch 3, sk 1 sc, 2 dc in next sc* Repeat from * 5 times more. Ch 3, sk 1 sc, sl st to top of initial Ch 3 to join. (6 groups of 2 dc separated by ch-3)

• Round 3 (Petals with Picots): Sl st into first dc, sl st into ch-3 space. *Ch 3, 2 dc in ch-3 space, picot (Ch 3, sl st in 3rd ch from hook), 2 dc in same ch-3 space, Ch 3, sl st in same ch-3 space. Sl st over next 2 dc to next ch-3 space.* Repeat from * 5 times more. Fasten off.

• Pearl Drop: Using Cream thread, attach it to the bottom-most picot of the Central Motif. Ch 5, string the 6mm pearl bead onto the thread, then sl st back through the last chain made (just before the pearl). Ch 3, sl st into the 3rd ch from hook (this makes a tiny picot above the pearl). Sl st back through the next 2 chs to secure. Fasten off and weave in ends.

IV. Assembly and Finishing

Arrange your motifs into the desired V-shape, alternating Basic Lace Motifs with Accent Beaded Motifs, with the Central V-Point Motif at the very bottom.

• Joining: Using cream thread, carefully join the motifs by sl st or sc into corresponding picots or ch spaces from adjacent motifs. Aim for a seamless, delicate connection. You will primarily join the sides of the petals where they meet.

• Neckband Chains: Once the main V-shape is formed, attach Cream thread to the top-outermost picot of the top-left motif. Ch approximately 50-60 stitches (adjust length to fit around your neck comfortably, leaving space for the clasp). Attach a part of your clasp to the end of this chain. Repeat on the top-right motif, creating another chain of 50-60 stitches, and attach the other part of your clasp.

• Finishing: Weave in all loose ends securely. For a crisper finish, lightly mist the necklace with fabric stiffener and pin it to shape on a blocking mat until dry.
