Materials

Instructions

Gauge: Not critical for this project, but aim for a tight, even fabric.

Note: This pattern uses Irish Crochet techniques where individual motifs are created and then joined by an irregular lace netting. Refer to the image for placement and overall shape.

Main Central Flower (Make 1 in Cream & Light Pink)

• Inner Petal Layer (Cream):
• Rnd 1: In MR, ch2 (counts as hdc), 9 hdc into ring. Sl st to top of ch2. (10 hdc)
• Rnd 2: Ch1, sc in first st, (ch3, skip next st, sc in next st) around, ending with ch3, sl st to first sc. (5 ch3-loops)
• Rnd 3 (Petals): In each ch3-loop: (sc, hdc, dc, hdc, sc). Sl st to join. FO.
• Outer Petal Layer (Light Pink):
• Rnd 1: Attach Light Pink yarn into a BLO hdc of Rnd 1 of the Cream inner layer. Ch1, (sc in next BLO hdc, ch3) around, ending with sc in last BLO hdc, ch3. Sl st to first sc. (10 ch3-loops)
• Rnd 2 (Petals): In each ch3-loop: (sc, hdc, 2dc, hdc, sc). Sl st to join. FO.

Accent Flowers (Make 2 Light Pink, 2 Light Lavender)

• Rnd 1: In MR, ch1, 6 sc. Sl st to first sc. (6 sc)
• Rnd 2 (Petals): (Ch3, dc in same st, ch3, sl st in same st) into first sc. Repeat for each sc around. (6 petals) Sl st to join. FO.

Small Leaf Motifs (Make approx. 10-12 in Light Lavender & Light Pink)

• Method 1 (Simple Leaf): Ch6, sc in 2nd ch from hook, hdc in next ch, dc in next 2 ch, hdc in last ch. Ch1, turn. Sl st back down the other side of the chain. FO.
• Method 2 (Chain Leaf): Ch4, sl st into 1st ch (forms a small loop). (Ch3, sl st into loop) 3 times. FO.

Dangling Drop (Make 1 in Light Pink)

• Ch5. (Sc in 2nd ch from hook, hdc in next, dc in next, hdc in last ch). Sl st back down the side to the base. Ch4, (sc in 2nd ch from hook, hdc in next, sc in last ch). Sl st back to base. FO. Attach a bead to the tip.

Assembly & Lace Netting

• Step 1: Layout: Arrange all your completed motifs on a flat surface in the desired necklace shape, referencing the image for placement. Place the Main Central Flower at the bottom center.
• Step 2: Connecting Lace (using Cream, Light Pink, Light Lavender thread):
• Begin with Cream thread. Using a combination of ch3-ch5 loops, sc, and sl st, start connecting the motifs. Work around the edges of the motifs, attaching with sc or sl st into stitches or ch-loops.
• Create an irregular open lace fabric between motifs. Incorporate picots (ch3, sl st in 3rd ch from hook) into your chain spaces for added texture.
• Switch between Light Pink and Light Lavender threads periodically to create areas of colored netting and to connect motifs of corresponding colors.
• Strategically sew small beads or rhinestones onto the lace netting as you work, or after the netting is complete.
