Materials

• Fine crochet thread in Light Beige (Color A)
• Fine crochet thread in Sage Green (Color B)
• 1.5mm crochet hook (or size appropriate for thread)

Instructions

Note: It is recommended to string a generous amount of seed beads onto your Sage Green (Color B) thread before you begin, as they will be incorporated directly into the stitches. Adjust length by adding or subtracting foundation chains in multiples of 10.

Foundation Band (Color A: Light Beige)

• Row 1: Ch 100 (or desired length), sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across. Ch 1, turn. (99 sc)
• Row 2-3: Sc in each sc across. Ch 1, turn. (99 sc)
• Fasten off Color A.

Bottom Scalloped Edge (Outer Layer – Color A: Light Beige)

• Attach Color A to the first sc along the long edge of the foundation band (one of the unworked sides if you only worked 3 rows).
• Row 4: Ch 1, sc in same st. *Sk 2 sts, (2 dc, ch 1, 2 dc) in next st (this forms a shell), sk 2 sts, sc in next st*. Repeat from * to * across the row. Sl st into the last sc. Ch 1, turn.
• Row 5: Sc in first sc. *In ch-1 space of next shell, work (2 dc, ch 1, picot, ch 1, 2 dc). Sc in next sc*. Repeat from * to * across the row. Fasten off Color A.

Bottom Scalloped Edge (Inner Layer – Color B: Sage Green with Beads)

• Attach Color B to the space behind the first sc of Row 4 (the foundation band edge).

• Row 9 (Color B): Join Color B in first sc. Ch 1, sc in same st. *(Sc, picot, sc) in ch-3 space*. Repeat from * to * across. Fasten off Color B.

Finishing

• Weave in all loose ends carefully with your tapestry needle.
• Using the tapestry needle, attach additional seed beads randomly across the beige and green lace sections for added sparkle, if desired.
• Sew one half of the jewelry clasp (e.g., jump ring with lobster clasp) to one end of the choker and the other half (e.g., several jump rings for adjustable length) to the opposite end. Ensure it lays flat and is secure.
