Materials

Instructions

Pattern Note: This top is worked in two main panels (front and back) from the bottom up, then seamed at the sides and shoulders. The sleeves are worked directly into the armholes, and the scalloped border is added last.

Front Panel:

Using MC, ch 81 (or a multiple of 10 + 1 for your custom width).

Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across, turn.

Rows 2-8 (Chevron Border): Join CC1 and CC2 to create the mosaic chevron pattern. Work in sc, carrying floats behind your work or using tapestry crochet. Follow a 10-stitch repeat of diagonal zig-zags.

Rows 9-18 (Midriff Section): Work in solid MC using sc rows to create a smooth green band.

Rows 19-24 (Upper Geometric Border): Work another band of tapestry chevron using CC1 and MC.

Scalloped Borders & Tassels:

Attach CC1 to the bottom hem. Work a row of: *skip 2 sts, 5 dc in next st, skip 2 sts, sl st in next st; repeat from * around to create the shell scallop. Repeat on the neckline using MC and CC1. Finish by making small 2-inch tassels using a mix of Green, White, and Red yarn, and secure them to the points of each bottom scallop.
