Materials

• Fingering weight cotton yarn in Cream / Off-white
• Scrap of light peach or skin-tone lace weight yarn for the head
• Gold metallic embroidery thread
• 1.5 mm and 2.0 mm crochet hooks
• Small white button (approx. 10mm)
• Tiny white seed beads
• Fiberfill stuffing
• Yarn needle, sewing needle, and white sewing thread

Instructions

Bracelet Band:

Using Cream yarn and a 2.0 mm hook:

• Row 1: Ch 40 (or length needed to fit your wrist), sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across, turn.
• Row 2: Ch 3 (counts as dc), skip 1 st, dc in next st, *ch 1, skip 1 st, dc in next st* repeat across to the end, turn.
• Row 3: Ch 1, sc in each st and ch-1 space across to the end. Do not fasten off.
• Buttonhole Loop: At the end of Row 3, ch 5 (test size over your button), sl st to the end of the band to form a loop. Fasten off and weave in ends.

Angel Head:

Using peach/skin-tone yarn and a 1.5 mm hook:

• Rnd 1: 6 sc in magic ring.
• Rnd 2: [inc] x 6 (12 sts)
• Rnd 3: [sc, inc] x 6 (18 sts)
• Rnd 4-6: sc around (18 sts)
• Rnd 7: [sc, dec] x 6 (12 sts) – Stuff lightly with fiberfill.
• Rnd 8: [dec] x 6 (6 sts) – Fasten off, leaving a tail for sewing.

Angel Body (Dress):

Using Cream yarn and a 1.5 mm hook:

• Rnd 1: 6 sc in magic ring.
• Rnd 2: [inc] x 6 (12 sts)
• Rnd 3: sc around in BLO (12 sts)
• Rnd 4-5: sc around (12 sts)
• Rnd 6: [sc 2, dec] x 3 (9 sts)
• Rnd 7-8: sc around (9 sts) – Fasten off, leaving a tail for sewing. Use gold metallic thread to sew a decorative gold stripe line around the base of the dress.

Wings (Make 2):

Using Cream yarn and a 1.5 mm hook:

• Into a magic ring: ch 3, 3 dc, ch 3, sl st. Pull the magic ring tight to form a small teardrop wing shape. Fasten off, leaving a tail for assembly.

Assembly and Details:

• Halo: Using gold thread, chain 10 and join with a sl st to form a ring. Sew this securely to the top of the angel’s head.
• Eyes: Embroider two simple closed eyes on the face using thin black thread.
• Sew the head onto the top opening of the body/dress.
• Sew the two wings onto the back of the dress.
• Attach the completed angel to the center of your crochet bracelet band.
• Using needle and thread, sew tiny white seed beads into the center gaps of the lace band for a touch of sparkle.
• Sew the white button onto the opposite end of the bracelet band to align with the buttonhole loop.
