CANDY CANE (Red & White Worsted Weight Yarn, 2.5mm hook)
- Using Red, ch 15.
- Starting in 2nd ch from hook, (sc in next st with Red, sc in next st with White) repeat across, alternating colors to create stripes.
- FO, leaving a long tail. Roll the strip tightly and use the tail to sew the edges together to form a tube. Bend into a candy cane shape.
ASSEMBLY
- 1. Sew the Muzzle/Belly Patch onto the front of the body, centering it below the eyes.
- 2. Embroider a small black nose and whiskers on the muzzle using black embroidery floss.
- 3. Sew the Ears onto the top of the head, slightly to the sides.
- 4. Attach the Arms to the sides of the body, just below the neck.
- 5. Attach the Legs to the bottom of the body, allowing the otter to sit.
- 6. Sew the Tail to the back of the body.
- 7. Place the Santa Hat on the otter’s head and secure with a few stitches.
- 8. Drape the Scarf around the otter’s neck.
- 9. Attach the Candy Cane to one of the otter’s hands.
