Materials

• Fingering weight cotton yarn in Light Blue, Magenta, Cream, Grey, Light Brown, and Yellow
• 2.25 mm crochet hook
• Polyester fiberfill stuffing
• Two small wooden beads (one for the door, one for the flag top)
• Toothpick or thin craft wire (for the flagpole)
• Metal keychain clasp and ring
• Yarn needle and scissors

Instructions

Tower Body:

• Using Light Blue yarn, start with a magic ring.
• Round 1: 6 sc in MR (6)
• Round 2: 6 inc (12)
• Round 3: (1 sc, inc) * 6 (18)
• Round 4: (2 sc, inc) * 6 (24)
• Round 5: In BLO, sc around (24)
• Rounds 6-17: sc around (24)
• Change to Cream yarn.
• Rounds 18-19: sc around (24)
• Change to Grey yarn.
• Round 20: In BLO, sc around (24)
• Round 21: (sl st in next st, skip 1 st, 4 dc in next st, skip 1 st) around to form the castle battlements. Fasten off and weave in ends.

Conical Roof:

• Using Pink/Magenta yarn.
• Round 1: 4 sc in MR (4)
• Round 2: (1 sc, inc) * 2 (6)
• Round 3: sc around (6)
• Round 4: (1 sc, inc) * 3 (9)
• Round 5: sc around (9)
• Round 6: (2 sc, inc) * 3 (12)
• Round 7: sc around (12)
• Round 8: (3 sc, inc) * 3 (15)
• Round 9: sc around (15)
• Round 10: (4 sc, inc) * 3 (18)
• Round 11: sc around (18)

• Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing. Stuff the cone firmly with fiberfill.

Door & Windows:

• Door: Using Light Brown yarn, chain 5. Starting in the 2nd chain from hook, work 3 sc, 5 dc in the last chain to turn, then work 3 sc down the opposite side of the chain. Fasten off, leaving a long tail. Sew a small wooden bead to the center as a doorknob.
• Windows (Make 3): Using Cream yarn, chain 4. Starting in the 2nd chain from hook, work 2 sc, 3 hdc in the last chain to turn, then work 2 sc down the opposite side. Fasten off.

Assembly & Details:

• Sew the door to the bottom center of the Light Blue tower.
• Sew the windows to the tower (one centered above the door, and one on each side). Use Light Blue yarn to stitch a small vertical line in the center of each window for detail.
• Stuff the tower body firmly. Sew the bottom of the Pink Roof to the inner loops of Round 20 of the Tower Body.
• To make the flagpole, wrap a small toothpick with Light Blue yarn. Crochet a tiny yellow flag (chain 5, starting in 2nd ch work: sl st, sc, hdc, dc) and glue it to the pole. Top the pole with a small wooden bead and insert the base into the top of the roof.
• Secure a metal keychain ring to the top of the castle tower.
