Materials

• Sport weight yarn in Orange, Yellow, Purple, Blue, Grey, and Tan
• 2.25mm crochet hook (Size B-1)
• Two 10mm black safety eyes
• Fiberfill stuffing
• Yarn needle and embroidery thread (yellow)

Instructions

Head & Body: Start with Tan yarn. Round 1: 6 sc in MR (6). Round 2: inc in each st (12). Round 3: [sc, inc] x6 (18). Round 4: [2 sc, inc] x6 (24). Round 5: [3 sc, inc] x6 (30). Round 6-10: Work in striped pattern alternating Tan, Orange, and Grey. Sc around (30). Insert safety eyes between Rounds 8 and 9, about 8 sts apart. Round 11: [3 sc, dec] x6 (24). Round 12: [2 sc, dec] x6 (18). Stuff firmly. Round 13: [sc, dec] x6 (12). Round 14-25 (Body): Continue in stripe pattern. Increase back to 24 sts and work even, stuffing as you go. Round 26: [2 sc, dec] x6 (18). Round 27: [sc, dec] x6 (12). Round 28: dec x6 (6). Fasten off.

Beard: Using Orange yarn, attach to the underside of the head. Row 1: ch 12, turn. Row 2: [sc, ch 3, sl st in next st] across to create the textured spiky beard effect. Fasten off and sew in place below the chin.

Tail: Start with Tan yarn. Round 1: 4 sc in MR (4). Round 2: [sc, inc] x2 (6). Round 3-20: Continue in striped pattern, increasing by 1 st every 4 rounds until you have 10 sts. Stuff lightly and sew to the back of the body.

Legs (Make 4): Use Tan yarn. Round 1: 6 sc in MR (6). Round 2-8: sc around (6). To make the feet: ch 3, sl st back, repeat 3 times to form claws. Sew legs to the body.

Wizard Hat: Start with Purple yarn. Round 1: 4 sc in MR (4). Round 2: [sc, inc] x2 (6). Round 3: sc around (6). Round 4: [2 sc, inc] x2 (8). Round 5: [3 sc, inc] x2 (10). Round 6: [4 sc, inc] x2 (12). Round 7: FLO inc in each st (24) to create the brim. Fasten off. Embroider stars with yellow yarn.

Robe: Using Blue yarn. Row 1: ch 15, turn. Row 2: sc across (14). Row 3: [sc, inc] across (21). Row 4-10: sc across (21). Edge with Yellow yarn using sc. Sew onto the body.
