Instructions

CENTRAL MEDALLION (Color A)

• Start with MR.
• Rnd 1: Ch 3 (counts as 1 dc), 11 dc into MR. Join with sl st to top of ch 3. (12 dc)
• Rnd 2: Ch 1, sc in same st, ch 3, skip 1 st, *sc in next st, ch 3, skip 1 st*. Repeat from * to * around. Join with sl st to first sc. (6 sc, 6 ch-3 sps)
• Rnd 3: Sl st into first ch-3 sp, ch 3 (counts as dc), (1 dc, ch 2, 2 dc) in same ch-3 sp, ch 1, * (2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc) in next ch-3 sp, ch 1*. Repeat from * to * around. Join with sl st to top of ch 3. (6 shells, 6 ch-1 sps)
• Rnd 4: Sl st into next dc, sl st into ch-2 sp, ch 3 (counts as dc), (2 dc, ch 2, 3 dc) in same ch-2 sp, ch 2, * (3 dc, ch 2, 3 dc) in next ch-2 sp, ch 2*. Repeat from * to * around. Join with sl st to top of ch 3. (6 large shells, 6 ch-2 sps)
• Rnd 5: Ch 1, sc in first dc (of the 3-dc group), *ch 3, skip 2 dc, (sc, ch 3, sc) in ch-2 sp, ch 3, skip 2 dc, sc in last dc (of the 3-dc group), ch 2*. Repeat from * to * around. Join with sl st to first sc. FO.

SMALL HANGING LEAVES (Make 3 with Color B, 3 with Color C)

• Ch 8.
• Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook, hdc in next ch, dc in next 3 ch, hdc in next ch, sc in last ch. Ch 1, turn.
• Row 2: Sl st in first st, sc in next 2 st, hdc in next 2 st, sc in next 2 st, sl st in last st. Ch 1, turn.
• Row 3: Sc in each st across. FO, leaving a long tail for attachment.

LARGE CENTER LEAF (Make 1 with Color C)

• Ch 12.
• Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook, hdc in next 2 ch, dc in next 5 ch, hdc in next 2 ch, sc in last ch. Ch 1, turn.
• Row 2: Sl st in first st, sc in next 3 st, hdc in next 3 st, dc in next 2 st, hdc in next 3 st, sc in next 2 st, sl st in last st. Ch 1, turn.
• Row 3: Sc in each st across. FO, leaving a long tail for attachment.

NECKLACE STRAP (Color A)

• Ch 100 (or desired length for strap).
• Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across. Ch 1, turn. (99 sc)
• Row 2: Sc in each sc across. FO, leaving long tails.

ASSEMBLY

• Using tapestry needle and yarn tails, attach the Central Medallion to the center of the Necklace Strap.
• Arrange and sew the Large Center Leaf to the bottom point of the Central Medallion.
• Sew the Small Hanging Leaves around the bottom edge of the Central Medallion, alternating colors. Attach a wooden bead to the bottom tip of each small leaf.
• Attach 2 additional small hanging leaves (one Color B, one Color C) with beads to each side of the Necklace Strap, just above where the medallion is attached, as seen in the image.
• Weave in all remaining loose ends securely.
