Materials

• Sport weight yarn in Light Green, Light Gray, Steel Blue, Orange, Teal, Yellow, and White
• 2.0 mm crochet hook
• 6 mm safety eyes

Instructions

Step 1: The Alien Head (Light Green Yarn)

• R1: Start with a MR, work 6 sc into the ring (6 sts).

Step 2: Space Helmet (Teal & Orange Yarn)

• With Teal Yarn:

Step 4: Thruster & Control Details

• For the bottom thruster: Start with White yarn, MR, 6 sc (6 sts). R2: [inc] x 6 (12 sts). Change to Light Gray, R3: BLO sc in each st (12 sts). Sew to the bottom center of the UFO. Add a touch of orange embroidery at the center for a fire effect.
• For the console/lights: Using Yellow yarn, embroider small french knots or circular stitches around the gray disk to mimic lights. Embroider a dark blue control box at the front center of the cockpit.

Step 5: Assembly

• Place the space helmet over the alien head and stitch securely.
• Insert the alien body/head unit into the central cockpit of the UFO and sew it down.
• Using Light Green yarn, attach two tiny arms holding small black pins (or embroidered lines) to represent the spaceship controls.
• Securely attach the keychain loop to the top center of the teal space helmet. Your cosmic explorer is ready to fly!
