Materials

• Worsted weight yarn in Red, Royal Blue, and White
• 4.0 mm (US G/6) crochet hook

Instructions

Size Note: This pattern is written for a standard Small/Medium. You can easily adjust the width by altering the starting chain in multiples of 12.

1. Ribbed Bottom Band:

• With Royal Blue yarn, ch 10.
• Row 1: Sc in second ch from hook and each ch across. Turn. (9 sc)
• Row 2: Ch 1, sc in BLO across. Turn.
• Repeat Row 2 until the band measures your underbust circumference (approx. 70-80 rows for S/M), alternating colors: 4 rows Blue, 2 rows White, 2 rows Red, 4 rows Blue.
• Join the ends with sl st to form a circle. Do not fasten off.

2. Chevron Body:

• Round 1: Ch 1, work 120 sc evenly around the top edge of the ribbed band. Join with sl st to first sc. (Work in multiples of 12).
• Round 2 (Color: Red): Ch 3 (counts as dc), dc in same st, *dc in next 4 sts, dc3tog, dc in next 4 sts, 3 dc in next st; repeat from * around, ending with dc in same st as starting ch-3. Join with sl st.
• Round 3: Repeat Round 2, maintaining the chevron peak and valley pattern.
• Rounds 4-5 (Color: White/Blue/Red Stripe): Follow Chevron sequence, changing colors to create the striped chevron details: 1 round White, 1 round Blue, then return to Red.
• Continue in established chevron pattern until the body measures 6 inches from the band.

3. Sweetheart Bust Shaping:

• To shape the front peaks, work back and forth in rows over only the front half of the stitches (60 sts), creating two distinct cups by decreasing on the outer edges and maintaining the center peaks.

4. Straps (Make 2):

• With Red yarn, ch 6.
• Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook and each ch across. Turn. (5 sc)
• Repeat Row 1 until the strap measures 12 inches (or desired length). Fasten off and sew securely to the front peaks and back of the top.

5. Finishing & Applique:

• Weave in all loose ends securely.
• Position the Czech lion applique centrally on the front chest panel. Use a sewing needle and white thread to stitch the emblem firmly onto the crochet fabric.
