Instructions

Get ready to bring a garden of color to life with this beautiful crochet necklace! Follow these instructions carefully to create each component before assembling your stunning floral jewelry.

Central Sunflower (using yarn B, C, D, A)

• Rnd 1 (Center – Dark Brown D): Start with MR, ch 1, 8 sc in MR. Join with sl st to first sc. (8 sc)
• Rnd 2 (Orange C): Ch 1, 2 sc in each st around. Join. (16 sc)
• Rnd 3 (Orange C – Petals): Ch 2, *sk next st, 5 dc in next st, sk next st, sl st in next st* repeat 4 times around. Join with sl st to first ch. (4 petals)
• Rnd 4 (Yellow B – Petals): Join Yellow B in a sl st from Rnd 3. Ch 3, *sk next 2 dc, 7 dc in middle (3rd) dc of next petal, sk next 2 dc, sl st in sl st between petals* repeat 4 times around. Join. (4 petals)

Small Flowers (Make 4 in Yellow B, 4 in Orange C)

• Rnd 2 (Petals): *Ch 2, (dc, tr, dc) in next st, ch 2, sl st in same st* repeat 6 times for 6 petals. Join and fo.
• After crocheting, sew a seed bead into the center of each small flower.

Leaves (Make approx. 12-15 in Green A)

• Ch 6.
• Sc in 2nd ch from hook, hdc in next ch, dc in next 2 ch, (hdc, sc) in last ch. Turn.
• Working along the other side of the foundation chain: sc in first st, hdc in next 2 sts, sc in last 2 sts. Sl st to first sc to join. Fo.
• Sew a seed bead at the tip of about half of the leaves.

Necklace Chain (Green A)

• Ch 150 (adjust length as desired for necklace base).
• Sl st in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across. Fo.

Assembly

• Lay out the necklace chain flat.
• Position the large Central Sunflower at the center bottom of the necklace chain. Securely sew it onto the chain using Green A yarn and a tapestry needle.
• Arrange the small flowers (alternating yellow and orange) and leaves around the central sunflower and along the necklace chain. Refer to the image for placement. Aim for a balanced and symmetrical look.

• As you attach the leaves and flowers, thread small dark green/black seed beads onto the necklace chain where they will be integrated, especially at the points where leaves sprout or between flowers. Sew these beads securely.
• Weave in all loose ends.
