Instructions

Sole (Start with Dark Blue yarn)

• Round 1: Ch 8. Sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in next 5 ch, 3 sc in last ch. Working on the other side of the chain: sc in next 5 ch, 2 sc in last ch. (16 stitches)
• Round 2: Inc, sc in next 5, inc x3, sc in next 5, inc x2. (22 stitches)
• Round 3: Sc around. (22 stitches)
• Sl st to first sc. FO.

Boot Body (Start with Light Blue yarn)

• Round 1: Attach Light Blue yarn in any stitch of the sole. Working in the back loops only of the sole’s Round 3, sc around. (22 sc)
• Round 2: Sc around. (22 sc)
• Round 3: *Sc in next 3, dec* x4, sc in next 2. (18 sc)
• Round 4: Change to White yarn. Sc around. (18 sc)
• Round 5: Change to Light Blue yarn. Sc around. (18 sc)
• Round 6: Change to White yarn. Sc around. (18 sc)
• Round 7: Change to Light Blue yarn. Sc around. (18 sc)
• Round 8: Sc in first 10 stitches. (Leave the remaining 8 stitches unworked, these will form the opening for the ankle/foot entry). Ch 1, turn.
• Round 9: (Working only on the 10 stitches) Sc across 10 stitches. Ch 1, turn.
• Round 10-11: Repeat Round 9.

Boot Tongue (Light Blue yarn)

• Row 1: Ch 4. Sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in next 2 ch. (3 sc) Ch 1, turn.
• Row 2-4: Sc across. (3 sc) Ch 1, turn.
• FO, leaving a long tail.

Assembly

• Stuffing: Lightly stuff the boot body.
• Tongue: Sew the tongue inside the boot opening, centered at the front.
• Laces: Using White yarn and a tapestry needle, embroider criss-cross laces over the light blue and white striped section, just above the toe.
• Sun Emblem: Using Yellow yarn, embroider a small sun-like emblem (a circle with rays) on the side of the boot (between the laces and the heel).
• Number ’10’: Using Black yarn, embroider the number ’10’ on the heel section of the boot.
• Studs: Using Black yarn, make small French knots or simple small knots evenly spaced on the dark blue sole to resemble studs.
• Keychain Attachment: Attach the keychain ring to the top back of the boot, above the ’10’.
• Weave in all remaining ends.
