Instructions

Sizing and Construction Overview: This crop top is constructed by working two flat panels (Front and Back) from the bottom up, with separate short sleeves that are sewn to the body. The colorwork is achieved using tapestry crochet, carrying unused colors along the back of the stitches.

Front Panel:

• With CC1, chain 84 (or desired width in multiples of 12).
• Row 1: Sc in second ch from hook and each ch across. Turn.
• Row 2-6: Work in striped ribbing alternating CC1, MC, CC2, and CC1 to match the bottom band design.
• Row 7 (Begin Main Chart): Work tapestry sc, following the geometric floral chart. Carry the unused yarn colors along the top of the stitches.
• Establish the central white medallion by marking the middle 40 stitches. Work the surrounding green and red borders in a circular tapestry sequence.
• For the central calligraphy text (‘ایران’ and ‘IRAN’), use gold yarn (CC3) to embroider or slip stitch the letters onto the white center circle after finishing the front panel colorwork.

Back Panel:

• Repeat the bottom ribbing sequence as done for the Front Panel.
• To simplify, you can work the back panel in plain MC (White) with CC1/CC2 borders at the edges, or repeat the geometric pattern on the back. Work until the panel matches the height of the Front Panel up to the underarms.

Sleeves (Make 2):

• With CC1, chain 48. Work 4 rows of red, white, and green striped ribbing.

Assembly & Neckline:
