Materials

• Sport weight 100% cotton yarn in Cream, Red, Green, and Brown

Instructions

Step 1: The Cream Band

Using Cream yarn: Row 1: Ch 41, sc in the 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across. (40 sts) Rows 2-5: Ch 1, turn, sc in each st across. (40 sts) Fastening Loop: At the end of Row 5, do not fasten off. Ch 6 (adjust based on button size), sl st into the corner of the opposite edge of the band to create a button loop. Fasten off and weave in all ends.

Step 2: Tiny Apples (Make 5)

Using Red yarn and working in continuous rounds: Rnd 1: 6 sc in a Magic Ring. (6 sts) Rnd 2: [inc] x 6. (12 sts) Rnd 3: [sc, inc] x 6. (18 sts) Rnd 4-5: sc in each st around. (18 sts) Rnd 6: [sc, dec] x 6. (12 sts) – Begin stuffing the apple lightly with fiberfill. Rnd 7: [dec] x 6. (6 sts) Fasten off, leaving a long tail. Thread the tail onto a yarn needle, pass it through the center of the apple from bottom to top, pull slightly to create a realistic dimple at each end, and secure.

Step 3: Stems and Leaves

Stem (Brown): Join brown yarn to the top center of the apple, ch 3, sl st back down, and fasten off. Leaf (Green): Join green yarn right next to the stem, ch 3, sl st in the 2nd ch from hook, sc in the next ch, sl st back into the base. Fasten off and secure ends.

Step 4: Assembly

Sew the wooden button securely to the opposite end of the cream band from the button loop. Space the 5 finished apples evenly along the top surface of the cream band and sew them securely in place using matching red yarn.
