Crochet Pattern: Sweet Dreams On The Go: Crochet Miniature Bed Keychain Pattern

Materials

• Sport weight yarn in Tan/Beige, White/Cream, and Light Pink
• 2.5mm crochet hook
• Fiberfill stuffing
• Tapestry needle
• Small metal keychain ring
• Four 6mm wooden beads (for bed legs)
• Strong craft glue (optional, for beads)

Abbreviations

• ch: chain
• sc: single crochet
• sl st: slip stitch
• inc: increase (2 sc in one stitch)
• dec: decrease (sc 2 together)
• FO: fasten off
• st(s): stitch(es)
• R: row/round

Instructions

Gauge: Not critical for this project, just maintain tight stitches to avoid stuffing showing through.

Note: Work in continuous rounds unless otherwise specified.

Bed Base & Sides (Tan/Beige)

• R1: Ch 11. Sc in 2nd ch from hook and across (10 sc). Ch 1, turn.
• R2-14: Sc in each st across (10 sc). Ch 1, turn. (You should have a rectangle approximately 10 stitches wide and 13 rows long. Adjust rows to get desired length for the bed base.)
• Now, working around the perimeter to create the sides: Ch 1, do not turn. Work 14 sc along the first long side, 10 sc along the short end, 14 sc along the second long side, and 10 sc along the last short end. (48 sc). Sl st to first sc.
• R15-17: Ch 1, sc in each st around (48 sc). Sl st to first sc. FO.

Headboard (Tan/Beige)

• R1: Ch 11. Sc in 2nd ch from hook and across (10 sc). Ch 1, turn.
• R2-6: Sc in each st across (10 sc). Ch 1, turn.
• R7: Sc in first 2 sts, dec, sc in next 2 sts, dec, sc in last 2 sts (8 sc). Ch 1, turn.
• R8: Sc in first 2 sts, dec, dec, sc in last 2 sts (6 sc). Ch 1, turn.
• R9: Dec, sc in next 2 sts, dec (4 sc). Ch 1, turn.
• R10: Dec, dec (2 sc). Ch 1, turn.
• R11: Sc in each st across (2 sc). FO, leaving a long tail for sewing.

Footboard (Tan/Beige)

• R1: Ch 11. Sc in 2nd ch from hook and across (10 sc). Ch 1, turn.
• R2-4: Sc in each st across (10 sc). Ch 1, turn.
• FO, leaving a long tail for sewing.

Mattress (White/Cream)

• Make two identical panels.
• R1: Ch 9. Sc in 2nd ch from hook and across (8 sc). Ch 1, turn.
• R2-12: Sc in each st across (8 sc). Ch 1, turn.
• FO, leaving a long tail on one panel for sewing. Sew the two panels together around three sides. Lightly stuff with fiberfill, then sew the remaining side closed.

Pillow (White/Cream)

• Make two identical panels.
• R1: Ch 7. Sc in 2nd ch from hook and across (6 sc). Ch 1, turn.
• R2-5: Sc in each st across (6 sc). Ch 1, turn.
• FO, leaving a long tail on one panel for sewing. Sew the two panels together around three sides. Lightly stuff with fiberfill, then sew the remaining side closed.
• Using Light Pink yarn and a tapestry needle, embroider a small heart onto the center of one side of the pillow.

Blanket (Light Pink & White/Cream)

• Starting with Light Pink yarn.
• R1: Ch 9. Sc in 2nd ch from hook and across (8 sc). Ch 1, turn.
• R2: Sc in each st across (8 sc). Ch 1, turn.
• Change to White/Cream yarn.
• R3-4: Sc in each st across (8 sc). Ch 1, turn.
• Repeat changing colors every two rows (Light Pink, White/Cream) until you have 14 rows total or desired blanket length. FO.

Assembly

• Using the long tail, sew the Headboard to one short end of the bed frame, centered. The widest part of the headboard should align with the bed frame.
• Sew the Footboard to the other short end of the bed frame.
• Place the Mattress inside the bed frame.
• Place the Pillow at the head of the bed, on top of the mattress.
• Drape the Blanket over the mattress and pillow.
• Glue the four wooden beads to the bottom corners of the bed frame for legs.
• Attach a small crocheted loop (ch 5, sl st to form ring, sc 5, sl st) to the top center of the headboard, then attach the metal keychain ring to this loop.
