Materials

• Medium brown embroidery floss or lace-weight yarn
• Light cream embroidery floss (for muzzle)
• 0.75 mm or 1.0 mm crochet hook
• Two 1mm black beads or micro safety eyes
• Black sewing thread and needle
• Polyester fiberfill stuffing
• Mini glass jar with cork lid (approx. 40mm x 22mm)
• Keychain ring and eye-pin screw
• Small strip of kraft paper and glue (for ‘HONEY’ label)

• inc: Increase (2 sc in one stitch)
• dec: Decrease (sc 2 stitches together)

Instructions

Head:

Using medium brown floss:

• Rnd 1: 6 sc in Magic Ring [6]
• Rnd 2: inc in each st around [12]
• Rnd 3: (1 sc, inc) repeat 6 times [18]
• Rnd 4-6: sc in each st around [18]
• Rnd 7: (1 sc, dec) repeat 6 times [12]

Insert micro safety eyes between Rnds 4 and 5, about 3 stitches apart. Stuff the head firmly with fiberfill.

• Rnd 8: dec repeat 6 times [6]

Fasten off, weaving in the yarn tail.

Body:

Using medium brown floss:

• Rnd 1: 6 sc in Magic Ring [6]
• Rnd 2: inc in each st around [12]
• Rnd 3-5: sc in each st around [12]
• Rnd 6: (2 sc, dec) repeat 3 times [9]

Stuff the body lightly. Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing.

Muzzle:

Using light cream floss:

• Rnd 1: 5 sc in Magic Ring, slip stitch to the first stitch to close the circle.

Fasten off, leaving a tail. Use black sewing thread to embroider a tiny nose and mouth onto the muzzle, then sew the muzzle to the head between the eyes.

Ears (Make 2):

Using medium brown floss:

• Rnd 1: 4 sc in Magic Ring. Do not join. Pull the ring tight to form a small semi-circle.

Fasten off, leaving a tail. Sew the ears to the top of the head between Rnds 2 and 3.

Limbs (Make 4 – 2 Arms, 2 Legs):

Using medium brown floss:

• Rnd 1: 4 sc in Magic Ring [4]
• Rnd 2: sc in each st around [4]

Fasten off, leaving a tail to sew. Sew two arms to the sides of the body and two legs to the bottom of the body.

Assembly & Keychain Setup:

1. Sew the completed head securely onto the body.

2. Twist the eye-pin screw into the center of the cork stopper. Secure with a drop of glue if needed. Attach the keychain ring to the loop.

3. Cut a tiny strip of kraft paper, write ‘HONEY’ on it, and glue it to the front of the glass jar.

4. Place a tiny bit of yellow embroidery floss at the bottom of the jar to mimic honey, place your bear inside, and secure the cork lid.
