Braids and Tassels

For each earflap, cut 12 strands of yarn, each about 20 inches long (6 in Color A, 6 in Color C).
Fold each set of 12 strands in half. Insert hook into the bottom of an earflap, pull the folded loop through, then pull the yarn ends through the loop to secure. Repeat for the second earflap.
Divide the 24 strands on each earflap into three sections of 8 strands each. Braid the sections together to desired length.
For each tassel, take 10-12 strands of yarn (mix of A and C), about 6 inches long. Fold them in half. Tie a piece of yarn tightly around the top of the folded section, then wrap securely and knot. Tie to the end of each braid.

Assembly

Position the Snout centrally on the front of the hat, slightly above the brim. Sew securely.
