Materials

• Sport weight cotton yarn in Light Green

Instructions

Main Vine (Light Green):

• Ch 80 (or desired length for choker, adjust to fit neck circumference).
• Sl st in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across. Fasten off, leaving a long tail for weaving in.
• This forms your flexible base.

Small Leaves (Light Green):

• Make approximately 25-30 individual leaves.
• Ch 3. Sl st in 2nd ch from hook. Sl st in next ch. Fasten off, leaving a tail for sewing.

Small Flowers (Light Blue, Lavender, Light Yellow):

• Make approximately 10-12 flowers of each color (30-36 total).
• Petals: Using desired flower color, start with a MR. Ch 1. *(Ch 2, 2 dc, ch 2, sl st) into MR*. Repeat from * to * 4 more times for a total of 5 petals. Sl st to close. Fasten off, leaving a tail for sewing.
• Flower Center: With Light Yellow yarn, use a tapestry needle to embroider a small French knot or a few tiny stitches in the center of each flower.

Ladybug (Red & Black):

• Body (Red): Start with a MR. Work 6 sc into MR. (6 sts)
• R2: *Inc* in each st around. (12 sts)
• R3: Sc in each st around. (12 sts) Fasten off, leaving a tail for sewing.
• Head (Black): Start with a MR. Work 4 sc into MR. (4 sts) Fasten off, leaving a tail for sewing.
• Spots (Black): Using black yarn and a tapestry needle, embroider small French knots onto the red body of the ladybug.

Assembly:

• Lay your light green vine flat in the desired choker shape.
• Carefully sew the small leaves onto the vine, scattering them along its length to create a natural, leafy look.
• Arrange the small flowers (mixing the light blue, lavender, and light yellow) and the ladybug onto the vine. Sew them securely in place. Try to balance the colors and distribute them evenly.
• Weave in all loose ends.
